I cannot stress enough that safety no matter our income goal is a priority. Please, please be careful on the road, maneuvering around obstacles, taking necessary precautions EVERYWHERE, so that we can continue to have the good thing we have going here.

This company has a good CSA score, but the rising insurance rates are not helped by incidents that are AVOIDABLE.

No Distractions

Put your phone and any distractions down when you are able to recognize the need for your full attention. It is more important you focus on the task at hand and you can call whoever back when you stop what you are doing.

WHENEVER YOU ARE BACKING UP

  1. Turn off your music and turn down the other noises in your truck such as the MAX AIR A/C.
  2. Roll down both windows and even if it is dusty, roll down at least one inch.

Note: it is important when you are backing up to hear… noises, honks telling you to stop, a child screaming under your truck/trailer, chains or metal dragging and scratching, and rubbing noises. DON’T FULLY TRUST A SPOTTER YOU DON’T ALWAYS WORK WITH.

GOAL – GET OUT AND LOOK

I don’t care how big of a hurry someone else is in to get by you; until you are absolutely certain you are not going to hit something, Get Out And Look, until your are sure.

Please exercise CAUTION anywhere, everywhere, and any time you are driving any vehicle using the privilege to possess your license.

Dropping Trailers

If a shipper/receiver asks you to drop a trailer and you no longer have possession and control of your equipment, please take photographs on the inside and outside of the condition of your trailer so that we have proof of the condition prior to loading and unloading so we can minimize the losses we are having with BRAND NEW equipment. We have good equipment and would like to keep providing it for you, but if you don’t get involved at the shippers/receivers to care for it, the shippers/receivers WILL NOT CARE FOR YOUR EQUIPMENT.  You will receive the worst piece of equipment the company can get you if you don’t take care of the Assigned trailer.

  1. Securing the bulkhead on the left wall with spacing between it and the chute so the forklift driver cannot push it into the air chute tearing the chute. (Our Air chutes cost just under $1,000.)
  2. Place the pump load bar behind the bulkhead turning the handle out of the way so a pallet entering the trailer on a forklift cannot tear the handle off.
  3. Store the e-Track Bars in the Trailer’s E-Track so they don’t slide all over the floor of the trailer damaging anything In their way.

Clean Floor

Always keep the floor grooves clean and don’t allow forklifts to driver over broken pallet pieces. The floor will not bear the weight of the forklift and load on top of a focused point on the floor. The floor will get damaged.

Equipment Removal

Remove the equipment completely from the trailer at Shipper/Receiver if needed to keep out of harms way and you are on the dock. Leave the bars in the front to protect the nose of the trailer.

God be with all of us, but should one of you be in an accident, please make the best decisions and let’s call the insurance and file a claim immediately so we can mitigate any possible catastrophe damages. (Someone decides they are hurt or loose consciousness or they decide their back or neck hurts.)

Guys… we cannot have any more losses or accidents or even others to hit us or our equipment. This is expensive equipment. If you cannot take the pressure of having to care for this equipment please find another workplace. We are here for you to help guide all if you in the right direction of “SUCCESS.”
